| Attributes | Many stems clustered, with well-developed short leafy shoots; inflorescence secund; sepal tips spreding; corolla ventricose-ampliate, the throat 2-ridged ventrally, the upper lip projecting and often forming a hood over the anthers, the lower lip spreading, the lobes broadly rounded, usually sky blue, the throat with a violet cast and the tube becoming white at the base, the palate white, sometimes with a few sparse hairs; stamiode white to pale blue with pale yellow hairs at the tip, included; anthers blackish with white hairs, the lower pair exserted under the upper lip. |
