LocalityDiana's Punch Bowl, 10 miles south of Potts Ranger Station, Monitor Valley. Plants a hard round tight mat with long stout roots reaching into porous travertine built up by hot springs action.
Verbatim Elevation6800 ft.
HabitatFlr. unknown. Some specimens with a few seed pods. Largest size 10 in. in dia. Secondary lime built up around branching acrown making a hard ball. Only occurrence noted in NV. Growing conditions so exceptional it is worthy of note.
