triumphal
arches
in
S.M.Maggiore
, this
one
facing
the
nave
and an
inner
one
with
images
from the
Apocalypse
framing
the
apse.
The
lower
edge
of the
inner
arch
is
clearly
visible
in this
photograph.
Images
on the
nave-facing
arch
include:
Annunciation
to the
Virgin;
Adoration
of the
Magi;
Massacre
of the
Innocents
span
both
sides
with the
triumphal
throne
of
Christ
in the
center.
