Using the CONTENTdm PowerPoint Plug-In
The CONTENTdm PowerPoint Plug-in enables quick and easy import of My Saved Items (images as well as metadata) into Microsoft PowerPoint. The PowerPoint Plug-in supports JPEG, JPEG2000, GIF, BMP, and PDF files. Audio, video, and MrSID files are not supported. The PowerPoint presentation can then be edited and modified using the tools available in PowerPoint.
To use the PowerPoint Plug-in:
- you must have the plug-in downloaded to your computer
- you must have entered the URL for this server (http://contentdm.library.unr.edu) into the PowerPoint Plug-in
The plug-in will retrieve the current My Saved Items for the URL you specified. In the new version of the PowerPoint plug-in, you can also search collections for items to download in addition to downloading items saved as My Saved Items, and My Saved Items can now be downloaded when saved using Firefox 2.0 in addition to Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.
The new PowerPoint plug-in includes support for Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Windows Vista, as well as support for JPEG2000 images. The plug-in automatically downloads JPEG derivatives from JPEG2000 images for use in PowerPoint slifes. There are also more slide layout options -- users can choose to download one, two, or four images per slide with or without titles and metadata.

System requirements: Windows 2000 Professional, or XP with Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, 2002, or 2003. PowerPoint 97 is not supported.
